Storm Damage Cleanup - As a result of the June 13, 2008 storm, many roads in Wexford County remain closed, and many more are still being repaired.  Storm damage assessment is continuing with over 50 identified sites in the County, with more that may yet fail when the water recedes and flows again later this fall or early next spring.

The Wexford County Road Commission asks for your patience and cooperation as they continue working on the identified $2,440,000 in estimated repairs as a result of the storm.  If you notice damage that was not identifiable immediately after the storm, please contact the Road Commission with the location and pictures if possible.  (Photo below)  Storm Damage - Washout (Posted 7/10/08)

The $1,000,000.00 Local Jobs Today Project that is scheduled to start the first week of June will include the reconstruction and paving of 9 miles of 30 Rd. (Coates Highway) and will extend from M-37 east to 34 Road just south of Boon.

The road will be open to thru traffic with flag control.  The public is encouraged to seek an alternate route if possible.  The project is expected to take 5 to 7 weeks to complete.
